Founded in 1862 by Dupré Barbancourt, Haitian Rum inherited traditional methods of Cognac distillation, including double distillation and aging in French oak. More than a century later, the family distillery remains a symbol of excellence and tradition in Haiti, recognized in the Haitian Register of Cultural Heritage.
Barbancourt supports over 3,000 growers, promoting sustainable practices and a unique portfolio of rums, such as the renowned 5 Star Reserve Speciale, nicknamed “La Goutte d’Or”.
