Douglas Laing & Co. is an independent distiller and bottler of Scotch Whisky, specialising in the selection and release of Single Cask and Small Batch Malt Scotch Whiskies. Founded by Fred Douglas Laing in 1948, the company is now run with passion by Fred Jr. and his daughter Cara, who welcome visitors with great hospitality. The company philosophy is to bottle the whisky as the distiller intended, which means at high proof and without chill filtration to preserve the spirit’s robust and unique character.
STYLISTIC
The Remarkable Malts line is an excellent first approach to the world of whisky while the Old Particular and Provenance lines instead have within them some unmissable rarities, precious liquids produced by the best distilleries, in small quantities and aged for a long time.
