Founded in 1825 in Brechin in the Eastern Highlands of Scotland, Glencadam is one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries and proudly one of only two surviving distilleries in the Eastern Highlands. Its opening coincides with important historical developments, such as the arrival of the first public steam railway in London and shortly after the Excise Act of 1823, which legalised distilling. Glencadam has maintained traditional production methods, which have seen it win numerous awards over the years.
