Whiskey making and entrepreneurship have been in the Teeling family’s DNA since 1782, when Walter Teeling founded a small craft distillery on Marrowbone Lane in the heart of Dublin’s industrial city.
Since 2012, Jack and Stephen Teeling have put their own spin on Irish whiskey, returning to their roots in 2015 with the opening of the new Teeling Whiskey Distillery in the Liberties, the heart of the city’s historic distilling district, the Golden Triangle.
STYLISTIC
Teeling whiskey, made with triple distillation, comes from a typical Irish malt that is combined with malts owned by previous generations of Teeling to give a strength that is atypical for Irish whiskeys, usually light and volatile. Aging in barrels of various woods enriches Teeling whiskeys with deep aromatic notes.
