The vineyards are located 400 meters above sea level, caressed by a light sea breeze that minimizes the need for chemical treatments. The secret of the minerality of the wines lies in the proximity to the sea and in the soil, the flysch, rich in marl and clay, with numerous marine sedimentary layers. The impermeability of the soil eliminates the need for irrigation, even in the driest periods of the year, allowing the vines to spontaneously express their true essence.
Perfect drinkability, combined with freshness and minerality, give Nikola and Albert Benvenuti wines a contemporary and versatile style. Excellent as an aperitif in the version aged in steel, Malvazjia Istarska is deeper and more complex, pairing well with fish throughout the meal, in the version aged in 2000 l barrels.
