Founded in 1692 in Porto, Taylor’s is one of the oldest companies in the production of Port. It belongs to a group of families who are committed to preserving the unique environment of the Douro Valley by promoting sustainable and responsible viticulture.
STYLISTIC
Port is a fortified wine, meaning that before the fermentation of the must is complete, Brandy is added to stop the alcoholic fermentation. This technique gives Port its characteristic richness, smoothness and balanced sweetness, making it extremely versatile on the palate.
Often considered the pinnacle of fortified wines, Port boasts a range of distinctive styles, each with a unique flavour profile. These styles range from the intense berry notes of Reserve or Late Bottled Vintage to the smooth, nutty tones of Aged Tawny and the deep complexity of Vintage.
