Heroic is the viticulture in the hills of Combai, a rugged landscape, between 300 and 500 m above sea level, which is cultivated only by hand, climbing along the terraces to transport the grapes and pruned branches. A scrupulous and demanding work, which gives fresh and lively wines, of superior quality and in limited numbers, for a good daily drink.
In July 2019, the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene became part of the World Heritage List drawn up by UNESCO, aimed at protecting and safeguarding natural and cultural sites in the world. This is where the precious DOCG Valdobbiadene Rive di Combai is located. “Rive” is a dialect term that in local tradition refers to the steep sides of the hills.
