1,500 hectares contain the hills of Collio, producing complex, opulent and deep wines that reflect the determined and shy character of Friulians. Here small family farms tend their vineyards as if they were gardens, producing mostly large, structured, long-lived whites.
Branko’s is a “garden vineyard” in the heart of the Cormonese Collio, protected with “integrated” methods favoring organic treatments. This is where the great Friulian whites are born, in particular Friulano and Sauvignon.
STYLISTIC
The Collio, thanks to its exposure to the sun and the soil called Ponca, in which marl and sandstone alternate, gives structured and long-lived wines. Igor Erzetič, owner of Branko, interprets this golden basin in a contemporary way creating complex, but fresh and mineral wines with a wonderful depth.
