It all started with a bet: to make an excellent sparkling wine with a grape that was difficult to work with. Carlo Gaggioli, a veterinarian and winemaker by passion, believed in Pignoletto when few considered it, becoming over time a pioneer of this wine on the Colli Bolognesi. He was the first to promote Grechetto Gentile, the grape from which Pignoletto is born, helping to make it one of the symbols of the area. Thanks to his vision and dedication, Pignoletto has established itself in its still and sparkling versions, best expressing the jovial and welcoming character of its land.
